Fiberwood’s wood-based acoustic panel is one of eight candidates in the Uusi puu – New Wood 2026 public vote. We’re part of an impressive lineup of Finnish innovations showcasing the potential of wood, from cosmetics and textiles to construction. Cast your vote by 30 September!
The New Wood public vote highlights new wood-based products and applications that combine innovative uses of wood with sustainable development goals. Now in its fifth edition, the vote invites the public to choose the year’s most exciting wood innovation.
Turning forest industry side streams into better indoor acoustics
Fiberwood’s wood-based acoustic panel reduces reverberation and improves indoor sound environments. Made primarily from wood and other bio-based raw materials, the panel is plastic-free and has a breathable structure. It offers an alternative to plastic- and mineral wool-based acoustic solutions.
We use side streams from the mechanical forest industry as raw materials for our panels. This gives wood a new purpose in long-lasting products, keeping the carbon stored in the material throughout their service life.
