The Board of Directors of Fiberwood Ltd has appointed Tuomo Halonen, M.Sc. (Econ.), as the company’s new CEO, effective 26 August 2026. Tage Johansson, the company’s previous CEO, will continue as a member of the Board. Chief Technology Officer Karita Kinnunen-Raudaskoski has also stepped down from her operational role.
Halonen previously served as Fiberwood’s Director of Finance, Administration and Business Development. He joined Fiberwood in January 2024. The transition of leadership responsibilities began in April 2026, when Halonen was appointed acting CEO of Fiberwood.
Halonen has more than 15 years of experience in finance, strategy, production, supply chains and business development. Before joining Fiberwood, he held leadership positions in operational excellence and corporate development at Adapteo Group. Prior to that, he worked at Metsä Wood in finance, strategy and supply chain development.

Tage Johansson is an experienced technology start-up developer who brought strong business expertise to Fiberwood during the company’s early stages. Karita Kinnunen-Raudaskoski is one of the key developers of foam-forming technology. The technological expertise she has built over several decades forms an essential part of Fiberwood’s material solutions.
Halonen takes the helm as Fiberwood transitions from product development to commercialisation, industrial scaling and growth. The company’s demo line in Järvenpää is operational, producing wood- and natural fibre-based insulation, acoustic and construction materials on an industrial scale for customer applications. The company completed its first customer deliveries to Finland and Sweden in May.

As part of the leadership transition, Fiberwood is ensuring a structured transfer of technological expertise and critical know-how. The company’s product and technology development will continue under the leadership of Fiberwood’s expert team.
